What to wear to a Summer Wedding

By in Blog with 0 Comments

Tis the season to run and hide from crazed brides-to-be and their mums as we enter the heat of wedding season. It can be nerve-wracking when choosing a wedding outfit as we want to stay on trend without upstaging the bride. To help make your life a little easier, we have put together a list of this years top 5 wedding trends.

Florals: Floral prints are always a safe bet during the summer months. Stick to bigger, bolder patterns, as opposed to the more intricate ones, as they are far brighter.

Floaty: This year is the year for floaty chiffons and rich silks. Lighter materials will reflect the summer sun and will be comfortable throughout the day, from the ceremony right through to the after party.

Pastel shades or poppy colours: this season, anything goes. Pastel shades have been a favourite since summer of 2014, and tend to suit even the palest english rose. At the other end of the spectrum, you could go for ‘poppy shades’, bright warm colours that will make you stand out from the crowd.

Pulled in waist: As floaty materials are in this summer, make sure you wear a belt or bright ribbon around your waist to accentuate it. This stops you from looking drowned in material and will show off your svelte bikini body.

Intricate accessories: Simple low-key weddings have been obsolete for the past five or so years. Simple accessories are a no no. Go for oversized, colourful pieces that compliment your outfits colour pallet.
